Privacy first

ScreenTime Duel Privacy Policy

ScreenTime Duel operates as an individual, adult-focused productivity tool. We track only the app usage you authorize, safeguard it with end-to-end encryption, and delete it on your schedule. This policy explains how that works.

Adults only

ScreenTime Duel is designed for adults seeking voluntary accountability. We do not market to or onboard children or teens.

Individual mode

Parental controls, family dashboards, and monitoring for others are not supported. Each participant must authenticate their own device.

End-to-end encryption

All duel traffic uses end-to-end encryption. Only anonymized score tokens are shared, never the raw usage data that generated them.

What ScreenTime Duel collects

  • Screen-time totals for the specific apps you individually authorize on iOS.
  • Goal thresholds and duel participation preferences you configure.
  • Alias information you supply for leaderboards (you can use any nickname).

How we use your data

  • Generate on-device dashboards showing your daily and weekly usage trends.
  • Sync anonymized score tokens to friends you explicitly invite into a duel.
  • Send local notifications that remind you when you're about to exceed a goal.

Storage & deletion

  • Data lives locally on your device by default. Opt-in sync keeps usage encrypted in transit and at rest.
  • Opaque, rotating tokens link duel scores without revealing identities.
  • Delete everything instantly inside Settings → Privacy, or let automatic deletion remove duel records 24 hours after completion.

Third-party access

  • ScreenTime Duel does not sell or share personal data with advertisers.
  • We rely on Apple APIs for screen-time authorization; Apple never receives duel outcomes.
  • Diagnostic logs only contain anonymized error codes and can be disabled in-app.

Terms of use snapshot

By installing ScreenTime Duel you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that you will only connect devices you personally own, and that you will respect your friends' privacy when viewing anonymized scores. Misuse, reverse engineering, or attempts to deanonymize tokens will result in account suspension.

Control your data anytime

Visit Settings → Privacy inside the app to view usage, export a copy, or delete everything in seconds. You can also leave duels without notifying other participants; your score simply disappears from the board.
